Only a handful of swimmers may have qualified for this years National Championships, but they certainly proved that quality is more important than quantity. AMY McVEIGH (15) produced the swim of her life to win GOLD in the 100m Backstroke Final in the Youth Championships. Also in the Youth Championships JONNIE NAISH (16) waited until his appearance in the heats of the 50m Freestyle to achieve a lifetimes best time to secure his place in the Semi Finals. In the age group championships ALEX FARRELL (12) also produced the goods in the Boys 100m Backstroke Final to win SILVER. Other Finalists were CELESTE LINDEQUE (12) finishing 5th in the girls 100m Backstroke Final and FLORENCE CLARINGBOLD (12) finished 8th in the 100m Breaststroke Final. Although ALASTAIR BINGHAM (12) wasn't quite up to his normal high standard, he will have gained an awful lot from his first experiences of competing at national level. All of the Age Group National qualifiers have been selected to attend a South East Region Level 1 training camp, new Head Coach Matt Heathcock has also been asked to assist. More...

ALL eligible swimmers (Pre-Comp 1 & above) will automatically be entered into 2008 Club Championships. Any swimmers wishing to withdraw from any event/session should notify The Team Manager as soon as possible. We will be operating a signing-in policy before each session, and anyone failing to sign-in will be withdrawn from that session. Entry Fees: This years entry fee is £15, which covers the costs of all events, medals, trophies and engraving. Cheques should be handed in to Michelle Knowles on or before the published closing date.
